Image © Wendy Filener JUVENILE PINNATE SPADEFISH Photographing this little fish was kind of like trying to photograph a quaking aspen leaf. The Juvenile Pinnate Spadefish has a quick undulating motion when it swims, and this one kept playing peek-a-boo behind a really ugly, non-photogenic rock (figures!). As they get older, that vague white bar behind the pectoral fin gets more distinct. Jamie has a great shot of a really young one, with no bar at all. |
