Image © Judy G This image was taken at the mythical "Third Bommie" at Batu Kapal (which is also called Mushroom Island). Simon lead us to the third pinnacle, not visible from the other two pinnacles of this reef system - so it was a bit of a swim of faith. The gorgeous vertical wall started at about 50 feet, and dropped down well below 100. The cascading waterfalls of Pyramid Butterflyfish, the beautiful deep blues, and the outrageously colored orange soft corals and hot pink sponges all made this site one of my favorites of the trip. |
