All of the below facilities have proficient English-speakers on staff and have, on balance, over the years proven reliable & honest based on my experience & knowledge:

If you sustain DCI:

If you have another medical emergency:

[My first choice] Medica San Miguel; Calle 6 Norte #132, between 5 Ave & 10
Ave; 872-5850/872-0103; medsanmiguel@prodigy.net.mx

Or Centro Medico de Cozumel; Calle 1 Sur #101, between 50 y 50 Bis Ave;
872-3545/872-0578; appts@centromedicodecozumel.com.mx

If you get sick:

Dr. Haydee Fabro Mendoza; Calle 1 between Ave 25 & 30; 872-5700/044-987-60700.

If you need a dentist:

Dr. Luis Angel; 872-0808.
If you need medications: American Discount Pharmacy; Calle 3 Sur; 872-4855.
Also a pharmacy at Chedraui.

If you need the police:

Emergency-- 01 800 903 9200. If need to talk to someone who speaks English,
dial 060 and say "Necesito hablar a un persona que comprender inglais."

Routine--Main station is at Melgar between Gonzalo Guerrero & Calle 13; 872-0409.

If you have a personal emergency or get into serious legal trouble:

First contact Ann R. Harris, Consular Agent, Offices 8 & 9, 2nd floor, Villa
Mar Mall, between Melgar & 5th Ave; usca@cozumel.net.

Then, if you need an attorney: Antonio Barrena; 872-4661; 65th & 3rd Sur; or
Lillian Paz/Gisela Rodriguez Gonzales; 872-1799.

If you get jacked around by a merchant of any type:

Contact PROFECO (MX federal bureau of consumer protection) at the big white
Municipal Building (aka Palacio) on Melgar, or through: http://www.profeco.gob.mx/html/consumidor/denuncias.htm#attention
